Step 6 completed! Working on step 7.

I'm on step 7! I traded my 16 cents with Gibraun, my sister's boyfriend, for a quarter, a nickel and two pennies. I also added my services of sweeping the kitchen floor and washing the dishes to add value to the trade, and for the future when we may do business again hehe. Always add value to your deals, products or services!

I did have one extra cent, so I'm taking that out and putting it in my Batman for spending money (woop a penny to buy something!).

I forgot all about my doubling project today up until a half hour or so ago. I've been immersing myself with my other projects all day. I have faith that something will come of all the learning and work I've done today. I've been reading up on the bum marketing method, and I've actually posted two ads. Since I know basically how it works, I'll see how many ads I can post during my one week free trial on USFreeads.com because I may not have enough in my Paypal account to pay for the premium membership. I hope my posts will pay for it though! I think I'm doing it right, but that doesn't mean much.

To get 64 cents from 32... I could buy something at 32 cents and sell it to someone at double, plus add some kind of service to it. Maybe give them a massage or package it nicely or just give them a massage...

Uhh, I cant think anymore. I've been in front of the computer all day. I'll go do myspace now and then check my email and look on craigslist and my ebay to see if I sold my cat doll...

Peace!

On to step 6!

Today's gains:

-3 pennies
-Food mixer (motor going out?)
-Pool filter pump (works?)

My sister was going to throw out a mixer from her kitchen, so I grabbed it and stashed it in my closet. It's motor seems to be going out according to her, but maybe It can be of value.

I also took a walk today, this time just going to the Albertsons parking lot. I found three pennies! Two were between vending machines. That puts me at 17 cents and at step 6. Never before has 17 cents been this exciting! Haha. I'll be very excited when I'm in the thousands, but for now I have to focus on my current goal. Step 6 is 16 to 32 cents, so I need to trade with someone or find more coins, or find a place around here where I can take bottles and cans.

On the way back home I picked up a pool filter pump that was out in front of a house in our neighborhood I assumed was for free. I'll go back and ask them, and if it works. Maybe its worth something!

Theres a potential opportunity for me to make $50-$150, depending on how I go about it. A guy is trying to get rid of an abandoned car, and I found a recycling place near here which pays $5.85 per 100 pounds of metal. At 2000 pounds that would be $117, and most cars are well over that weight. I would have to find a way to transport the car there though (no motor, I have a suspended license and would need someone with a truck and tow cable), and remove the gas tank and fluids or they wont take it. They have a 400 pound penalty if you leave the tires on too.

Obviously if I did this I would overshoot my next step by a lot, but I could use that extra money for other investments! Plus its an idea that could possibly be put to use for future steps (which I'm not thinking about!).

Steps 1-4 completed!

I took a walk to the Albertsons and Publix supermarket plazas which are just a quarter mile or so away from my place. After a half hour or so of walking around the parking lots I was able to find two nickels and four pennies, or 14 cents!

I am just 2 pennies away from finishing step 5 (16 cents)

I'm keeping my coins in my little GI Joe tin lunchbox so I don't mix it up with my other coins in my Batman piggy bank.

I noticed as I walked that there is a lot of trash lying around along the streets. Maybe I could create a service project of some kind.

What I learned: Supermarket parking lots have more coins lying around than neighborhoods. I walked around our loop and found not a penny. I was expecting more than what I found from the parking lots, but going through 4 steps in an hour or so is excellent!

The start dawg!

I'm starting today a project. I came across a link while looking at the red paperclip forum (the guy who traded a red paperclip up to a house. Theres a forum for people to trade with others). The link went to this report which explains a way to double your money up to a million and beyond. After reading much of this guy's blog about his experiences, I thought I would like to start this adventure for a few reasons:

-It seems "Xinfinitum" has learned a lot during his experiences and he has inspired me to actually learn by doing instead of just learning by reading all the success books I have been reading. I think a combination of learning through books and learning through experience is a great way to build actual wisdom and create success along the way.

-Since I am into business, this will help me to expand my mind and find many ways of doing business I may not have thought of. It will also teach me that with any situation I am in I can become more successful, whether I have one penny or one million dollars.

-It will give me something to show that I have accomplished and prove to hopefully many people that rags to riches is possible to anyone.

-I will learn many lessons I can teach my kids (when I get married and have some) about creating wealth and dealing with people, successes and failures.

-I don't have much I am doing now. No income or anything. Just a desire to get something done. This is a great project for someone who has no money because there is nothing to lose!

I'm sure there are other reasons.

Here is basically how it works. Follow the link above to get the report (its free) to learn all the rules and details.

You start out with nothing. Find a penny or have one given to you. Every time you double your money, you have completed a step. There are 28 steps, or 28 times you double your money, up to over 1 million dollars. You can go beyond that obviously, but after the 28th step, you can do whatever you want with your million. Before that, you must invest all money created from this project back into the project. There are other rules on how you can use your money and on using your own personal funds that I wont go into.

So here it is! I will also be writing any lessons I will learn through the process. Rule 6 states that I need to create a diary of my events, so here is my diary!
